Parametric Analysis of Cylinder Drying Process in Association with Various Materials

In this study, the heat and mass transfers in fabric drying process of a single-cylinder dryer are numerically examined detail by using MATLAB codes illustrating 3D velocity temperature profiles obtained CFD-ACE+ software package. Seven different materials including Polyethylene terephthalate (PET), Polyethylene, Polypropylene, Cotton, Wool, Rayon, Nylon employed as materials. Influences drying-material thickness, contacting percentage, cylinder temperature, feeding velocity, diameter detail. For all cases it is found that maximum material strongly dependent on thermal diffusivity material. The higher material, greater peak achieved. increases with increase percentage. leads to faster material; however, slower than one. transfer between central layer ambient environment limited
